Don't know but it brings to mind "American Gothic" Love the photo's, particularly the velvet theater seats and the red wagons. Did you buy anything? Susan A.K.A Lucy

American Loot; Unrecognized Treasure.

I love the parody of American Gothic! And it's kind of a reminder of the father/daughter farmers that Grant Wood was going for when he had his sister and dentist pose!

Love it!

Spot on! That's what they were going for. American Gothic. With 40 year old carpet sweepers.

We bought those funky lamps, some beautiful slabs of dark word for building shelves, a couple of lamp shades and a few things here and there. The wagons tempted us, in some weird way so did those velvet seats.

Sky, is there anything you DON'T know?

Congratulations on being a grandmas, Lucy.

So glad to hear you were spared of worse flooding and that you met your neighbors. And thanks for both the condolences on the passing of my first really close friend, and the grandma congrats. Oddly Sam makes me miss Seonag more because she seemed to have a constant case of baby fever, even after her hysterectomy, she just loved the little cuddlers. I've enjoyed reading how you are settling in. Hope you'll keep the house set up and pics coming. Tis, I, Lucy. (up feeling unwell if you wonder about the post time)
