Had I been on the flight, I would have cheered the crew.

I don't have kids but I can sympathise with the family. Sure, if a kid can't chill out then get rid of it. In reference to this case it sounded like the crew didn't give the kid one second to calm down... also the family was told they couldn't fly for 24 hours... that's a little uncool. Still, if the kid can't quit freaking out after a few minutes then yeah, knock them off the flight but let them on the next plane.

I am of two minds about it. At first I thought they just tossed them because the kid was being unruly. But in this tense age, and especially when a flight has already been delayed, even kids have to be treated like real passengers--and if they won't take their seat, what choice does the crew have? I can't help feeling the family exaggerated their inability to comfor the child just a wee bit!
