Godspeed, David Cook!

You made me not hate tonight!

Please, whatever you do to me, don't ever, ever, ever make me hear David Archuleta say the word "Boo" ever, ever again! I must add that I didn't hate "And So it Goes...", and I even got a few goosebumps, but it got too predictable towards the end. However, he's young and has time to reign in his voice. The kid's got a set of lungs, it's undeniable. And at least he didn't pick the Dan Fogelberg song. He's just so...vanilla. (girlfriday's choice of word, not mine)

Syesha. Oy. I'm going to pretend like I'm on my own blog where I can only use kind words. So I won't say anything at all.

David Cook is money, no matter what happens tomorrow night or next week. So I suppose this whole season hasn't been a complete bust.

Wait. Sayesha did look lovely on that first song.

I must confess, I fast-forwarded through most of David A. & Syesha's songs - I just couldn't stand it! As soon as I heard that he was singing "With You," I knew "boo" & "little mama" would be his downfalls. Not to mention he totally messed up the words AGAIN. Poor guy. I think the producers were trying to get back at his dad when they chose "Longer" for him. He can sing, he's just as boring as they come. And Syesha was pulling a Haley Scarnato & going for the male votes. She was sparkly!

David Cook is far & away the best performer, & it didn't hurt that he sang 2 of my favorite songs (Switchfoot & Aerosmith). Do you think he really wants to win though & be stuck with the cheesy American Idol songs? Just wondering.

Again, I wish I wasn't watching this show anymore, but at least I can say I skipped a few bits to maintain my self-respect. :)

I just don't want Syesha to win. It doesn't matter to me which David wins. I think they both deserve it. I ask, though, which is worse, being a little "vanilla" or being full of yourself? That said, I will say that DC has gotten better in that department.

If one believed in conspiracies, one could see that David C was being set up as the winner the last night -- hands down.
P.S. I don't think a Chris Brown song was that bad of a choice. Don't you know which demographic his voters are in?

Oh demographically-speaking, it was brilliant. That was apparent by the shrieking teen girls in the audience as soon as they announced which song it would be. But that's where the brilliance ended.
