I'm going to have to do a lot of contemplating before I give out my official predictions. But for now I'm sticking with Brokeback for best pic at the Oscars. And actually you don't have to see the movies, you just have to have the pulse on Hollywood.

I'm going to have to read who "they" think is in the running for Best Pic before I say yea or nay.

PS: We're not worthy.

I think Jeff Daniels is a strong possibility. I think Squid and the Whale will get nominated for best pic. I think Heath Ledger has a chance, too, but they won't give it to Joaquin because of giving it to Jamie Foxx last year. But I think Reese will win best actress, unless Felicity Huffman for Transamerica is the dark horse.

Heath is too young, too hip to get it right out of the gate like this. Later on they'll give it to him as an apology.

That is a good point. And a lot of the times the actor who wins all of the smaller, snobbier awards (i.e. SAGs), doesn't win the Oscar. I seriously am considering Jeff Daniels.
