Does it even matter, texas? McPhee could have brought the house down for her last performance and the judges would have said "ehhhh."

You're right. Kat may not be very good, but she isn't better or worse than the other two. And at least she doesn't stick her butt out and contort her face when she sings.

Why the judges are so hard on her is a mystery to me.

they're so hard on her because the promise that she displayed weeks ago has evaporated--the McPheever subsided. They're either trying to get get some spark back into her, or are so disguested that she got lazy and complacent that they're lashing out. She came close last night by trying to recreate Fantasia's "Summertime" moment...but pffft. Have no use for her anymore.

Elliott could've sealed the deal last night, and unless Simon's kiss of death brought out a sympathy vote, he missed.

But unless Taylor literally falls off the stage next week, he's got this thing won by a mile. (and even if he did fall, he'd still likely win). Now he just has to get back to recording the kind of thing he did before Idol...

May not be a mile afterall, H.C., if you watched tonight's results show. Each hopeful had 33% of the vote and it was decided by hundredths of a point.

Yeah, I caught the percentages, but stand by my "by a mile" prediction.

1. Yaminians, on the whole, are going to become auxilary memembers of the Soul Patrol. And Chris' fans aren't going to help out Kat at all (many of them probably went to Elliott).

2. As one blogger put it, "It will be the battle of consistency and energy versus streaky brilliance and beauty" Consitency and energy will win the day. Even shackled with the pablum of the official American Idol song ("Inside your Heaven" had to be Kryptonite to Bo), Taylor will outperform.

3. Lately Kat's been 1 good performance for every 4 she does (roughly, w/o going to americanidol.com to confirm my memory). So she's due for a couple more screechy and manic or dull numbers.

4. Why am I spending so much time thinking about this? I have tests tomorrow?!?!?!
